HIPPS Interlocking Manifold Solution – Sakarya Gas Field

Main Milestone

The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the Interlocking Manifold has been successfully completed, confirming compliance with functional, performance, and safety requirements prior to system integration.

Project Overview

The Sakarya Gas Field, located in the Black Sea, represents Türkiye’s largest offshore natural gas development and a key element for the country’s long-term energy supply.

As part of the field development, a HIPPS-based solution was implemented to ensure safe and reliable operation under the high-pressure conditions typical of deepwater applications.

Indra Scope of Supply

Indra supplied the Interlocking Manifold (IM) as part of the HIPPS system engineered by Yokogawa Malaysia.

The manifold is designed to support high-integrity overpressure protection functions, ensuring the safe isolation of pressure transmitters (initiators) while simultaneously maintaining continuous line pressure monitoring without the risk of interruptions.

Technical Features

  • All wetted parts manufactured from Super Duplex F55
  • 2oo3 voting logic achieved through independent 1oo1 sensing manifolds
  • Each line equipped with:
    • Flushing ring
    • Integral butt-weld needle valves
  • Assemblies fully mounted and tested in-house

Protection and Installation

Each Interlocking Manifold is installed inside a painted SS316L stainless steel IP66 protective enclosure, which guarantees mechanical protection of the “initiators” against the aggressive environmental conditions typical of offshore environments.

Value Delivered

  • Reliable interlocking manifold solution for HIPPS applications
  • Proven performance in high-pressure deepwater conditions
  • Seamless integration into Yokogawa’s HIPPS architecture
